Networks

Fraunhofer ENAS is an active member in various worldwide, European and regional networks. The institute pays special attention to:

  • EPoSS is an industry-driven policy initiative defining R&D and innovation needs as well as policy requirements related to Smart Systems Integration and integrated Micro- and Nanosystems. Together with EPoSS and Silicon Saxony, Fraunhofer ENAS hosts the Smart Systems Integration Conference and Exhibition.
  • With more than 400 members, Silicon Saxony e. V. is the largest high-tech network in Saxony and one of the largest microelectronics and IT clusters in Germany and Europe. Since its foundation in 2000, Silicon Saxony has been a self-financed association linking manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, universities, research institutes, public institutions as well as industry-relevant start-ups in Saxony and beyond.
  • Fraunhofer ENAS has been involved in IVAM since its foundation. The institute's director Prof. Harald Kuhn has been chairman of the scientific advisory board of the IVAM Microtechnology Association since the end of 2022.
