The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft has set itself the goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2030 and establishing Fraunhofer as a role model for science and administration. At Fraunhofer ENAS, sustainability and the responsible use of resources are particularly important to us. Our focus is on increasing energy efficiency, the use of renewable energies and thus successively reducing our greenhouse gas emissions in order to contribute to the global goals of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. In the development of smart systems, we also want to use our expertise to implement technologies for the production of individual components as well as system concepts and system integration technologies, taking into account energy savings and resource conservation.
With the introduction of an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001, we are implementing a structured approach to measuring, monitoring, analyzing and optimizing our energy consumption. We are thus committed to continuously improving our energy-related performance and to complying with relevant legal requirements, particularly with regard to environmental and climate protection. As part of ISO 50001, we are also committed to providing the necessary resources and information to achieve our strategic and operational energy goals, to support the acquisition of energy-efficient products and services and to consider the design of new, modified or renovated plants and sites as well as facilities and systems based on the highest possible energy efficiency guidelines.
We are aware of our responsibility for efficient energy management. We will work to optimize our energy use and consumption in order to make our contribution to climate protection.
