Fraunhofer ENAS shows toghether with the chair Digital Printing and Imaging Technology of TU Chemnitz printed functionalities, like antennas, batteries, interfaces, conductive lines and electronic devices, at the LOPEC 2014. The trade fair LOPEC is held in Munich, Germany, on May 27 and 28, 2014. Fraunhofer ENAS exhibits on booth 317 in hall B0.

One highlight are printed UHF RFID antennas from the SAB project "Wefuflex". The screen printed copper antennas are immediatly printed on packages of corrugated board. Its directional characteristic allows to use the antennas for packages of metallic objects. The antennas are developed toghether with richter & heß VERPACKUNGS-SERVICE GmbH.

A printed +/- 15 Volt battery is also introduced. This primary battery is applied in a cholesterol sensing system and was developed in the EU project SIMS.
