Quality Policy

Fraunhofer ENAS can look back at a positive development with high industrial revenues and a continuous increase in budget and number of employees since its formation in 2008. In order to ensure and to expand our position in the market, to open new areas of application, to develop our R&D portfolio further and to anticipate new markets, a permanent monitoring of trends, developments and shifts in the markets is essential.

Consequently, Fraunhofer ENAS decided to implement a quality management system in accordance to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, thus ensuring a sustainable and secure future for our institute through transparent and well-defined processes as well as systematic and continuous improvement.

The satisfaction of our customers and an interest in the needs of other relevant stakeholders are our priority. Naturally, the management of Fraunhofer ENAS is committed to the Fraunhofer guiding principles and takes, as a role model, responsibility for the high quality of our research and development services.

According to the mission and vision of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, we also stand for applied research, innovation for the benefit of the society and strengthening of the German and the European economy. Our institute leads strategic initiatives to meet future challenges, develops technological breakthroughs, shapes a balanced interaction between excellent research and application-oriented development, cooperates with companies and research organizations and uses synergetic effects. Guaranteed confidentiality, continuity in key positions, first-class equipment, reliable project management and professional handling of rights of use are the basis of our business activities and our understanding of quality. With the implementation of the quality policy, we aim to fulfill the requirements of the standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for the benefit of the institute and our customers:

 

• Measure and evaluate the success by predetermined and agreed parameters,

• Ensure a constant monitoring, review of efficiency and improvement of the quality management system,

• Promote our corporate and organizational culture,

• Adjustment of the business units as well as refining and further development of the core competences,

• Actively contributing to the realization of the strategic levels of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.

 

The quality policy review takes place annually with regard to its expediency and suitability within the management review and the meeting of the board of trustees, respectively, and is adjusted if necessary. The policy establishes a framework for the specification of our quality goals.
