About Dirk Hanus:
Dirk Hanus was born in 1962 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. From 1981 to 1984, he completed vocational training with A-levels. His desire to study photography could not be fulfilled. Therefore, in 1984, he began studying "Information Technology" at TU Karl-Marx-Stadt (Chemnitz), which he completed in 1989. During his studies, Dirk Hanus continued to engage intensively with photography and showcased his first own exhibitions. In 1990, after leaving his engineering profession, photography became his main focus. Dirk Hanus works on artistic projects as well as photography for book productions and advertising photography. In 2014, he exhibited his series "inner spaces" at the Pingyao International Photography Festival (China) and received the "Excellent International Photographer Award" (One of the best international photographers).
