The European Platform on Smart Systems Integration EPoSS is an industry-driven policy initiative, defining R&D and innovation needs as well as policy requirements related to Smart Systems Integration and integrated Micro- and Nanosystems.

EPoSS is contributing to the Lisbon Strategy, aiming at boosting economic growth, creating more and better jobs and ensuring sustainable prosperity in Europe.

Fraunhofer ENAS belongs to the members of EPoSS . The annual Smart Systems Integration Conference (SSI) is part of the activities of EPoSS . The committee is chaired by Prof. Dr. Thomas Gessner, Director of Fraunhofer ENAS Chemnitz.
